The Cerebra Innovation Centre is a small team based at the University of Wales Trinity St. David in Swansea. Get to know them better below:
Dr Ross Head
Ross completed his doctoral studies before becoming a lecturer of Product Design at University of Wales Trinity St. David; he was also one of the original members of the CIC team contributing to set up the unit as it is today. Ross now focuses all his time on CIC and when not at work he is a keen surfer and kite surfer who has a passion for developing and making his own kite surf boards.
Daniel has been a member of the Cerebra Innovation Centre for around 6 years, and has thrived on using all the skills he gained whilst studying Product Design at UWTSD Swansea to help children with neurological conditions.
It is important to Daniel to use his skills to help improve the lives of people who are in need, and deserve it.
As a keen surfer Daniel is at home at the beach, and spends a lot of time in and around the sea. Daniel has a passion for travelling, not only around Wales but also abroad to find new and exciting waves to surf and places to see. Also in his spare time Daniel loves to ride his motorcycle, having some of the most spectacular roads just a short ride from his home town.
Gerallt joined the team at the Cerebra Innovation Centre in 2011 after graduating from the School of Art and Design in Cardiff.
Gerallt takes great pride in being able to use his skills as a Product Designer to create innovative solutions that enable children will challenging neurological conditions to live a more included, fulfilled and enjoyable life.
Gerallt is keen, amateur photographer with an interest in landscape, wildlife and macro photography. In his spare time he enjoys exploring the Pembrokeshire coast or hiking in locations including Snowdonia and the Scottish Highlands. His passion for the outdoors has been nurtured through working as a volunteer leader for The Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
Maria is the business development officer for the Cerebra Innovation Center, where she is hoping to use her passion for research and marketing to reach out to families in need.
Maria joined the Cerebra Innovation Center in 2017 after graduating with a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the business school UWTSD.
In her spare time, Maria loves to travel and take weekend breaks all over Europe, and hopes to continue seeing the world. Maria also attends as many Innovation and entrepreneur seminars as she can, as she is very inspired by peoples work in the community.
