Junior Design Engineer

Our Innovation Centre is a small team of designers and researchers working to better the lives of children with brain conditions. We design and produce products specific to individual children’s needs. We respond to direct client requests for products which fulfil their specific need and where mainstream products have not been able to meet their needs. The designer must have excellent practical design and making skills – everything you design must be able to be made in the workshop and must function perfectly, be robust and look beautiful.

As a Junior Design Engineer you will be based in CIC offices in University of Wales Trinity St David (UWTSD) Swansea and take part in the day-to-day running of the team, administration and design. You will report to the Product Design Manager within CIC and also to the Head of Research and Information in Cerebra. You will be part of a small but tenacious team who develop products on a very small scale that help their users in daily activities whilst ensuring inclusion into society as much as possible. You will play a big role in a tight team who punch above their weight!

We offer a salary of £22,000 per annum for the ideal candidate, 28 days leave per annum and a pension scheme. This is a full-time post.

We are looking for someone with creative flare and a passion for supporting families. This position will suit a career-focused individual, willing to work hard who will go above and beyond the call of duty to get a job done to an excellent standard.
