The Adeli suit is an elasticated arrangement for positioning and stretching muscles within a programme of physical therapy. It developed out of the Russian space programme at a treatment centre for children in Poland, at Euromed, www.euromed.pl.
Two private therapy centres in the UK offer ‘Spider therapy’ and ‘Therasuit’ that also derive from the spacesuit idea, in combination with a range of other techniques.
