Vallecchia - Our first Holiday Home

Vallecchia is a large four bedroom dormer bungalow situated in Hook, Pembrokeshire, South West Wales. Hook is a quiet village on the Cleddau Estuary, with a population of just over 1,000 people. It is about five miles from the larger centre of Haverfordwest and within easy reach of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

This is the first property that Cerebra has bought as a holiday home for its members. It has a total floor area of over 250 square metres, with 150 square metres on the ground floor. It has a large garden and a detached double garage, which is used as a games room, with table tennis, table football and a pool table. There are layout plans which are available should you wish to review the space and dimensions of the rooms.

We have included a number of things that we hope will make your holiday an enjoyable one. We can also arrange some support: a cleaner to visit the property to help with any domestic requirements; a nurse to help with care; babysitter, should you need some time for yourself; or a guide for accompanying you on walks in Pembrokeshire.

There has been huge demand for the property and unfortunately it is already fully booked for both 2008 and 2009. We are not taking bookings for 2010 until January of 2009, any forms received before this time will be returned.

How do I book?

You can request a booking form from our office in Carmarthen via telephone on the number above, post or email info@cerebra.org.uk Along with the completed booking form we require two references. One reference should be from a clinical source (such as your GP, Occupational Therapist or Health Visitor) and the other from a non-clinical source (professionals that work with your child such as a social worker or teacher). Both referees should know your child and should confirm your child's condition and that a holiday at Vallecchia would be beneficial. Please note that these references MUST be submitted before your application can be processed. As you can probably imagine, we have a great deal of interest from families wanting to use Vallecchia for a holiday. To increase your chances of being successful, we ask that you give as many options as possible as to when you can visit. We aim to take up to four weeks to process your completed application and notify you of the outcome. If your application is successful, we may need to ask more questions to help you enjoy your stay. You can arrive after 3pm on your first Saturday and you must leave by 11am on the following Saturday, to allow us to prepare it for the next visitors.

How much will it cost?

It is FREE to members of Cerebra*. To become a member of Cerebra complete the webform and you will be sent an information pack detailing our services and added to our mailing list to receive our quarterly newsletter. All we ask in return is that you complete a questionnaire before and after your holiday. This will help us to improve the holiday home and help us decide whether we acquire further properties.
