About the Postal Lending Library
Cerebra's Postal Lending Library is a free resource for parents and carers of brain injured children and others involved in their care, such as teachers, social workers and medical professionals.
We hold books on a wide range of topics to do with neurological conditions and other related issues, such as education and welfare. We also have a library of sensory toys, designed to help development.
You can borrow 2 books at a time for 28 days and 1 sensory item for 1 calendar month. There are no postage charges as you can use our freepost address to return books and all toy deliveries and collections are made by a courier, which we organise.
All book reviews and suggestions for the library are most welcome. If you find a book particularly useful, please recommend it to us and we will look into obtaining it for the library. Alternately, you may wish to donate it for others to enjoy.
How to use the Postal Lending Library

You will need to sign up to use the lending library, you can do this online using this webform, or you can telephone our librarian, Ross, directly on 01267 244203 or on our freephone helpline, at 0800 328 1159.
2. Choose your item(s)
You can view the list of books and sensory toys online or you can request a paper copy by email or telephoning the helpline.
You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the library list, if you don't have it you can download it by clicking on the link above.
3. Request them
To request books you can use this webform or if you telephone Ross, he can let you know about the availability of items. To request toys, as we need to arrange a suitable day for the courier to deliver, this is best done over the phone.
4. Enjoy
You have 28 days to enjoy your books and 1 calendar month for toys. If you're not finished with them at the end of this period, call or email and if no one else is waiting for them, you can renew them.
5. Return them
When you are ready to return your books you simply put them back in the envelope they came in, stick the enclosed freepost label over your own address and put them in the post to us.
For toys, telephone Ross and he will arrange a suitable date to have a courier collect the toy and return it to us.
