Childrens Library List

The Childrens Library is currently in development. Why not help us build it?

We have a selection of novels, short stoires, poetry books, casettes of stories, rhymes and poems, DVD's and videos. It could be made much bigger and better. Help us build it just for you..... The library has a small selection of books for all ages which your parents/carers may borrow for you.

Here is a list of a few of the books we have to offer and their reviews. We have picked out some of our personal favorites.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the night-time, By Mark Haddon. (Ages 11-16)

Library number C0043

Curious Dog incident book cover

Christopher is 15 and has Asperger's syndrome. He knows a great deal about maths, but very little about society. He loves lists, patterns, the truth but hates the colours yellow, brown and being touched. He has never gone further than the end of his road alone, but when he finds the neighbours dog dead he sets on a journery that turns his world upside down. Very moving story with funny areas, really shows the reader what living with asperger's is really like.
