How could you help ensure the work of Cerebra in the Future?

…By leaving a gift in your Will.
‘Cerebra’s Regional Officer came to our home when Elliott was at school, listened to my frustration and tears and then uttered those immortal words: “We can help”.’
- Sandy, Elliott’s mum
A gift in your Will (or legacy) to Cerebra ensures a better future for children suffering from neurological conditions
You can include a gift by adding to an existing will, or by writing a new one. It is very simple to give in this way.Making a will is easy and updating it is even easier. It is also very important as it will almost certainly make life a lot easier for your loved ones in the future. It means you have control of your estate, that you decide what is best when you have gone and that, most importantly, your wishes will definitely be carried out. It may also reduce or eliminate inheritance tax.
A solicitor can advise you about how to make your will as tax effective as possible.
There are two main types legacy:
Residuary (a percentage of your estate): This is the most common method. Most people will want to make sure their loved ones are cared for first. You may then decide to divide anything left between one or a number of charities.

________% of my estate not otherwise disposed of this my Will to Cerebra (registered
charity number 1089812) of Second Floor Offices, The Lyric Building, King Street,
Carmarthen, West Wales, SA31 1BD for the purposes of Cerebra and I declare that the
receipt of its treasurer or other proper officer shall be a full and sufficient discharge.
Pecuniary: This is a specified amount that you decide to leave to a charity such as Cerebra.
