Grants

At Cerebra we believe that all children should have the same opportunities for independence and an ordinary life.  Our grant scheme funds up to 80% of the cost of equipment and services to help make life easier and more enjoyable for children with neurological conditions.

That might be by paying for a trike to allow a little girl who can’t ride a standard bike to go on family bike rides or by funding a touchscreen monitor for a little boy who can’t use a mouse so he can do his homework and play computer games like his friends.

We try and be flexible in what we fund, to see some examples of things we have funded in the past and some of the things we cannot fund please read What can I apply for?

Everything we fund has to be for the direct benefit of a specific child and every application is looked at in relation to the individual needs of that child.  This means that we can not fund equipment for schools and other groups.

Can I apply?

  • Is your child 16 or under?
  • Does your child have a neurodevelopmental condition? (For more details on the conditions we cover please read Who We Help.)
  • Will the item you’d like to apply for improve your child’s quality of life?

If you can answer yes to all these questions and the item you want to apply for shouldn’t be provided by a statutory body like the NHS, LEA or social services you can certainly apply to us for help.
