Two Person Scooter

This great new scooter was developed for a young pair of siblings (not pictured)- in North London. Benzion, the younger child has developmental delay, and despite loving to ride on a scooter is unable to control and balance at present. However, his obliging older sibling rides the scooter whilst Benzion stands at the front to enjoy the ride!

It was not possible to buy a child-sized scooter that was long enough for both children to stand on comfortably and safely, so their mum called Cerebra Innovation Centre to help.

After a good amount of research and talking to professionals in the scooter world we found the Micro Flex Scooter. This is part of the Micro Scooter range, but it has a flexible ply and fibreglass board joining the front and rear wheel sections to make a comfortable “long distance” scooter.

Instead of CIC redesigning and making the whole scooter (which Micro have done very well!) we took the existing scooter and replaced the flexible board with our own elongated board, with plenty of space for Benzion to stand on the front.  The new board is reinforced on the bottom with ply wood strips and a C-section aluminium bar for light weight and flexibility. As usual this scooter went through CIC’s rigorous strength testing to a weight of 85kg!
