Cerebra Innovation Centre (CIC) are a small team of designers and engineers producing novel and unique equipment for disabled children.
CIC undertake many design projects initiated the members of the charity and develop, design and produce products to help in the daily lives of children with neurological conditions.
Some of the products are ‘one-off’ bespoke designs, and others are made in small batches. The way we have to make things because of the small numbers, require ingenuity in design and manufacture. We constantly strive to make the best products to the highest standards. Here is the CIC mission statement:
- CIC aim to implement standard product design techniques to develop specialized equipment for brain injured children
- To combine the function of a bespoke product with the aesthetic attributes of mass produced products
- Focus on issues relating to social inclusion for clients whilst producing useful and functional products to assist their everyday lives
CIC was originally set up because although some equipment is available to buy, it often doesn’t look very nice or it does not suit the requirements of some children. We develop logical solutions that aim to reduce some of the social stigma attached to disabilities by making really good looking, stylish and functional products.
Please feel free to look through the CIC pages to see examples of the work we have done to inspire you to challenge us with new and innovative ideas. If you think the CIC team may be able to help you in any way, please call or email.
